TreeSize Free helps you analyze disk space usage and identify large files and directories on your Windows PC. With its help, you can find the folders and files that take up the most of your drive and permanently delete them from your computer to reclaim disk space.
You can select entire drives or individual folders for scanning. The application also enables you to scan external storage devices, such as USB sticks or Cloud drives. TreeSize Free also integrates into the Explorer's contextual menu so you don't need to launch the application in order to analyze disk usage.
In my testing, the program immediately scanned a USB drive and a local directory. It offered me a detailed report which I was able to print directly from the app's interface. Unfortunately, the utility lacks an option to export the offered reports or share them via email.
Another disadvantage is that the app runs only with administrative rights. Furthermore, the Professional version of the utility provides you with more useful features (ability to export reports, built-in file search with deduplication, etc.).
Still, TreeSize Free provides you with detailed and accurate reports and is very simple to handle. It's up to you to decide which of the app's versions is the best for you.
